The Backtalk Band is one of Central New York's most versatile groups.
Comprised of four accomplished and professional musicians, the band includes
Jim Lawrence (bass, vocals), Bob Keefe (guitar, vocals),
John White (keyboards, vocals),and Mark Joyce (drums, vocals).
Hailing from small towns around and including Ithaca, NY, The Backtalk Band
has
been pleasing audiences for over seventeen years.
The Backtalk Band's playlist reads like a Who's Who of Rock 'n' Roll.
Each performance runs the gamut of Rock 'n' Roll history from the mid-to-late
1950's (Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly to name
a
few), through all the 1960's (The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Turtles,The
Young Rascals,
The Monkees,The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison and more),through the 1970's
(The Who,
Loggins & Messina, Van Morrison, Devo, Billy Joel, etc.), up to the 1980's
and beyond
(The Romantics, Kenny Loggins, Bob Seger, Steve Winwood, John Cougar Mellencamp,
Billy Joel, Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen).
